Spoons
Spoons catch the largest fish. I try to troll at least one spoon for my farthest lure. The reason why I like this pattern. The spoon is designed to move all round in the water to simulate a injured baitfish. Sometimes I watch the spoon on the side of the boat and it spins in about a 3 foot radius. I have had trouble with tanden rigs with spoons and tangles. So for spring time I will troll a large spoon little to no weight about 200 -300 feet behind my boat. I have had birds follow my boat for several minutes checking out the spoon from the air.
